Our Visitors!

We are so lucky to have so many visitors! Uncle Matt, Aunt Amy and Cousins Ellie and Nolan were able to meet little Lilly her very first weekend. What a treat to have them come up from Portland.

We have had so many wonderful people bring food, gifts, flowers etc. We are loving the company- especially because we cannot get out much this week. (as long as they don't bring any germs!)

Hospital Visits!

We were able to spend 2 nights in the hospital- with many wonderful nurses! We had a great experience at Swedish!!

We are so lucky to have so many visitors in the hospital! Our family was so wonderful- of course the grandparents, the Katri's, Kristian, Elizabeth, Aunt Devon, Brooke, Will and the Girls. Little Lilly is so blessed to have so many family members so close by.

Our Trip Home

We traveled home with our little PEANUT on Friday April 21st. Oh we were so glad to be home. Nanna had made us a cake and cleaned our house. We had tons of flowers and gifts waiting from our coworkers, friends and family. And of course Nanna's famous pound cake (still warm)


Aunt Brook and Aunt Devon surprised us as always! With over 50 flamingos at our house- WE WERE FLOCKED!!! We had so many laughs. Leave it to those girls to surprise us (and embarrass us!). I think everyone on the block new we were home. Luckily the company came to pick it up later that day, we were not left storing all those plastic birds.

Lillian Andersen O'Claire joins our family

Tuesday March 18th-

Mom: I noticed things were different. I could not sit through meetings. Swimming with Megan- I was having contractions. After our Greek dinner with Megan and Shaun, we returned home. And I could no longer sit through the contractions- starting around 9:00 pm. These contractions continued- and finally around 11:00 pm Dad asked "should we go to bed for work tomorrow?" No Way!! We called the Doctor a few times, and then around 3:00 pm- we made the trek to Swedish. We had the most wonderful experience at Swedish- great care!
I quickly realized that the contractions were hurting so much because she was "sunny side up"- I was enduring back labor. We were admitted immediately- our first nurse Tiffany was very helpful. We bathed, walked, massaged, used the birthing ball- anything to relieve the pain. At around 9:00 am, our second nurse Sue recommended the epidural- since I was writhing in pain during contractions and falling asleep between. The epidural went well- Nana and Grandpa Einstein and Grandma and Grandpa O'Claire- all joined us in till the last few hours when the pushing started. She came very quickly at the end.

Lillian Andersen O'Claire was born at 4:10 pm- we were elated. Lillian (or Lilly) a name we like, and Andersen her maternal grandmother's maiden name. After two nights in the hospital, we were ready to go home!

We were blessed with many visitors- Grandparents, Aunt Brooke, Uncle Will, Cousin Emma and Lucy, Katri clan, Aunt Devon, and others. We had the best nursing care!

Sunday, March 16th. Well, nothing happening. No signs, no contractions or other labor actions. So we hang out and anxiously wait; maybe this is the time to finish the illusive tax return (ughh!)? So we have a liitle extra time to take long walks, watch movies (even if they are chick flicks) and get the nursery ready. Peanut already has a full bookshelf and a chest full of toys. Soooo, in all reality, we're not too stressed, although any time would be just fine with us, as one of us keeps "growing"! Bags are packed & ready to go!
