Lilly six!!

Lilly is six. Where did time go? For some reason this birthday hit me harder than most. I no longer have a little girl- my "big girl"!

1.reading chapter books. Yes with intonation.
2. Getting ready in am and room cleaned up!
3. Figures ways to trick us into making her "surprise" lunch.
4. Flips on bars
5. Making new friends all the time, and able to navigate through the playground.
6. Caring for her brother.
7. Eating fancy cheese, crab, and almost any veggie!

But, still our little gal- sneaking sucks of her thumb, requesting am snuggles, and telling us everything.

Katie

Katie has saved us, cared for us, and lived us. We are so santo have her go...she has spoiled us. I will have a hard time finding another nanny as great as Katie!

Update on Hen Man

Henry- is 2 months away from his 4th birthday.
He is doing a wonderful job getting ready in the morning. He is a chatter box at home, telling us stories, playing make believe with his toys, and singing random songs. At school, he is just starting to find his voice. Raising his hand, sticking up for himself.

Henry loves his time with his family - stay at home days, trips to the zoo, or even just playing with his puzzles. He loves his sister and follows her around like crazy!

We love our Buba!

Now we have a first grader

Lilly did it! Well maybe we all did- she loves school, her friends, and her teacher. We are so blessed to have been assigned to Ms. (Mandy) Cook. She is an amazing educator, with a big heart. She loved each one of the little kids. Lilly has a love for learning - and Ms. Cook is a big part of this.

Summary of Kindergarten:

1. Learning: Lilly loves to learn - loves school - Schmitz park and going to school!

2. Friends: She has made some wonderful friends- boys, girls, in her class and in other classes. She is very well liked by many. We really saw here energy grow this year with her friends.

3. Music: Lilly still has a love for Music. Ms. Dunn her music teacher gave her the front row in the kindergarten musical- because she always remembers her lines.

4. Confidence: she has an amazing ability to lead the class- in the class room or on the play ground.

5. Reading: Lilly is reading at a 2nd grad level. She has a love for books - and who ever thought that our kindergartener would be reading chapter books!

6. Writing: she loves to write stories and poems. She is learning how to express her self through a pencil. It is quite impressive - and we are loving the spelling.

7. Art: Lilly loves to draw. Cards for friends, picture for her mom, we love to get the art.

8. Family: Lilly has a love for Henry. She watches out for him, cares of him and shares with him. Sometimes when we are frustrated, it is so cute to see her try to help him.Lilly still prioritizes the family- her brother, her grandparents, her aunts/uncles, cousins, and us. It is so wonderful how she picks us all first.

9. Fashion: She is quite into picking outfits and making things work. She does her own hair and rarely asks for help. We are in trouble!

10. BIG GIRL: We have been calling her Big Girl for years now. and it is wonderful to see her become a big girl - using her manners, asking for help, and looking after others.
