Christmas 2010

This is the first year in 10 years that we stayed home, and the family came to us for Christmas. (Well that does not include 2007 when we escaped to Costa Rica for the holidays!)

Few highlights:
-Henry was the star of the show- Jesus in the Nativity scene at church.
-Lilly loved leaving carrots for the reindeer and cupcake for Santa.
-Watching/helping Lilly (and Henry) discover Christmas "Does Santa drive a car?" "Can we have blue cupcakes for Jesus' birthday?" "Is Henry the REAL Jesus?"
-Lilly wanting to be a princess in the nativity scene- instead she was a "Princess Sheep"
-Henry's ability to sit back and take it all in - while his sister opens all his gifts.

Lilly loves to read- to her bitty baby.

Right before Christmas Eve church.

Maternity Leave. . .

Hen the Man and I have been having a wonderful maternity leave. The 5 months are almost over, I will miss many things. . . but the best thing has been hanging out with friends, not in such a rush, play time laughing with Henry.

Henry is so easy going that he just tags along on my errands and lunches with friends. Oh how I will miss this time with my little baby. Time is moving too fast.

Above is Jack (Evanson) and Henry holding hands - one of our favorite maternity play dates.

Cousin Caroline

Love this picture. Just shows Henry's "Dazed and Confused" way of life and Carolines "Eager Bever" way of life.

Christmas Carols

We have had fun teaching and singing Christmas carols with Lilly. She already has a few favorites- Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. She gave us a full concert tonight!

Cookie Making

We had a chance to do cookies with our buddies- Lucia and Bree. What fun it was . . . amazing how they kept their attention span for so long! I guess it was the sugar.

Oh yes Henry did a great job as always participating in his sister's activities. He is so easy going!

Henry is 4 months!

It's hard to believe that our little guy is 4 months old!

He is weighing in at 18.4 lbs (94%) and 27 inches (96%). We love them big. Dr. Kumasaka said he is looking healthy and strong. We can even stop the night feedings.

Lilly was 17.7 lbs and 25 inches - much more of a chunck!

We did the visit to NannaE's church to see St. Nick (our family friend Mr. Lewis). What a treat!

A lot new and a little old

Lilly and I were talking about the "residents" that she visits at her school- Mount St. Vincents. Then she said, "Mama you are a lot new and a little old!" Oh that made me laugh- and quite a compliment that my 2.5 year old does not think I am a lot old and a little new. . .
