Hula Lessons

Lilly loves learning to dance- and one of our nights in Hawaii we had a chance to learn the "traditional hula". Of course she would not do it without her mom! Somehow Dad got out of it! I pulled Henry in to learn also!

Hen and the Snorkel

One of the best things these days is seeing Henry explore- oh thank goodness that 2 year olds are so cute! Henry was trying so hard to put on the snorkel gear on.

Hawaii - Part 1

We had a great time with the O'Claires traveling to Maui. Chris and I had not been there since we were kids- we have been going to Kauai. Great to check out the island - to spend time with family- and to relax! The kids loved playing with the cousins and being in the water every day.  We stayed for 3 days on the west side of the island before meeting up with the cousins.

One of the favorite activies was barrying people in the sand. The kids loved it! Henry could never sit still long enough for this!

Sailing

We had a great 5 days sailing with NannaE and Grandpa. The highlights were trying to catch crab and ending up going to the fish market to buy it for dinner- swimming at Otterbay- the Ganges farmers market broad beans - forth of July NannaE style with tons of decorations and good food- learning to fish with Grandpa - riding in the dingy- and relaxing in the beautiful weather! Thanks to NannaE and Grandpa for hosting all of us- even Henry constant mess.

We are loving getting out with the kids- it is all about tricking them! Psyching them up for the event! We have had some good success!

Fathers Day (late!)

Since I was gone for fathers day this year we celebrated late. We did our annual Fathers day hike. This year was Wallace Falls! Lilly hiked 4 miles up to the falls and Henry hiked almost a mile home. He did not want to get in the backpack. Success and second hike this year. We hope they grow up into little hikers.
