Going to the Olympics

We did something very spontaneous - and are so glad we did it! We headed to Vancouver to check out the Olympics - with no tickets. It was very crowded, but well worth the trip to experience the vibe!!

See the Olympic Torch below. .. .it was actually quite beautiful. This picture (or any picture we have seen) has done it justice.

Lilly was a trooper. .. the entire trip up she said- "Where arewe going?" We took this experience to teach her about countries, not sure it sunk in.

Our friends Jon and Heidi - motivated us to go, since they were going with their little gal Lucia. It worked out so well, we almost bumped into them! Lucia and Lilly love hanging out with each other on Friday's and always check out each other's blogs!

Then we ran into Uncle Brooks and his friend!
The Olympic Village across the river!Lilly the trooper- made it! She slept the entire way home. And then when we got home she was crying saying "I don't want to go home, I want to go to Canada again!" Luckily, we are going back for the Marathon in May!

Dress up

Aunt Amy gave us some fun dress up for Christmas - a bit girly for her mom! But that is what aunts are for! Lilly loves to get dressed up and dance around.

Wintrhop Visit

We were able to escape to Winthrop with Aunt Devon and Uncle Dan and Kima (seen above). Lilly is still learning to like dogs. She talked about Kima all the time (Kima likes to give kisses, Kima is brown, where is kima?), but just did not want to get close. Lilly was a bit confused on where she was going? She sang her songs for the 4.5 hr trip. She has quite a repertoire now - Baa Baa Black Sheep, Jingle Bells, Wheels on the Bus, ABCs, Slippery Fishy, Monkey's Jumping on the Bed, etc. Dada is introducing her to some new songs - Beatles, Jack Johnson. He favorite still is "symphony" that means any classical music. She loves her music.
She fought sleeping in the "Hello Tell". Her version of Hotel.

Aunt Devon loved spoiling her with cookies- she licked all the frosting off.

Lilly - is acting like a 2 year old. With many opinions. She did well in the "chariot" (not shown), but better in the back pack.
