Cousin Caroline

We had a chance to get Henry and Caroline together. They are 2 weeks apart - and could not be more different. Henry is just starting to move (not crawling) and prefers to sit back and watch! Caroline on the other hand likes to be in the middle of it all!
Already fighting - I love it!

This one is my favorite - Henry is thinking "what is the big deal coz? Just sit back and relax!"

Sitting at the Table

Henry loved being invited to the table to eat with us! It is something we try to do as a family as often as possible - and he has finally graduated from the high chair. Yes he did toss everything on the floor including his plate. But he loved it!!

Side note - he is a bit of finicky eater- loves frozen peas. Not wild on tofu, pasta, or cheese. He seems to love chewing on bread. Such a happy guy!

Balance Bike

Lilly is learning to ride her new bike - the balance bike. She likes the idea of it, and hopefully will catch on. The other night when we had some friends over, she was not quite sure why she did not have wheels. I am convinced this is the way to teach her. Once she has training wheels, it is going to be really hard to take them off for our cautious little gal. We have been enjoying going to the "school park" almost every night.

Little Gym

Little Gym has been a big part of our life for the past few years - such a wonderful way for Lilly to gain confidence! She has learned so much about how to work with her body, loves the music and loves to be part of a class. It has been so fun to watch her skills grow. Teacher Dana and Teacher Berget are the best- so supportive. We have been fortunate this semester to go with Bree a good friend from the Mount. I enjoyed hanging out outside the classroom- spending time with Henry and getting to know other WS parents! Win/Win for everyone!

Holding her self up on the high beam!

Done with our bar routine we are so proud!

Thanks NannaE for supporting Little Gym - we loved the class! (and the medal that we got at the end of class - that we wore around for the next few days!)

Henry is 10 months!

Our little guy -Hen Man, Henry Bible, Hen, etc. is now 10 months old. He is such a happy guy and loves to flash smiles at you. Still not crawling- but moving backwards and scotching around on his bottom. His fine motor skills are great- picking up all sorts of tinny things off the ground to eat!! Oh the joys of having a little guy. And his verbal skills are a mile a minute. He loves to talk in bed- when he wakes and as he sleeps. Now he even cries"mamama" when he is sad. Breaks my heart. And using his new skills of "How big is Henry", high fives, and waving all the time. Oddly enough he is even leaning out a bit! We are trying to enjoy every moment of having a little baby because our days are numbered!

Big Girl thoughts

We have had some fun discussions with Lilly lately- the questions are non stop and her memory is amazing. Her curiosity is wonderful. You can hear her brain growing! My most favorite was when she realized that I did not know everyone on the freeway or even anyone. She loves gardening - and playing with the worms. She wants to know about where the clouds come from, why the earth moves, how airplanes fly, and so much more. It is so difficult describing these things to a 3 year old - and sometimes I don't even know the answer!

Another favorite was when she bit her brother - we asked her why? "because he is so squishy".

Cheering for Jillian

The Jepsons hosted us and then came to visit us for a night at the Marriott. It was so wonderful to meet Jillian - Lilly just loved playing with her. We had night to remember- possibly it was the fact that the girls won at Yuker (the boys will not admit it) or that there was a fire in the room next door. We were evacuated and then since the sprinklers went of we had to move rooms. It was quite memorable!

Our little guy

Henry is really opening up. He has started giving high fives, playing peek-a-boo, doing "so big" with his arms, and waving hello and goodbye. During our trip to California, we saw a real change in him. He is chatting up a storm - and even cries mama mama mama when he is upset. Lilly is constantly squeezing him and giving him "loves" and he just goes with the flow. He laughs so hard - especially with his sister.
