Cousin Visit

We were so lucky to have cousin Ellie and Nolan come stay with us this past weekend. Lilly cannot stop saying their names. My favorite part is that she calls Amy "Mamy" and Matt "Ma". She is still talking about them- she has trouble with Nolan's name, so she refers to him as the baby. Yes he is over a year older than her and acts like a little boy now!

Lilly loved playing with Nolan's cars, trucks and buses. She now is making car noises thanks to cousin Nolan. It is nice to have some boy influence!

Father's Day

We had a wonderful Father's Day! We were lucky to try out a bike seat that we borrowed from our friends Kym and Aaron. Lilly loved it. The entire time she was saying "bike, bike". And then she would wave and say "Hi" to people as we rode by. What a wonderful way to spend time with Dad outside on an adventure!

We were fairly agreeable about the helmet. We tried to show Lilly that we all needed to wear one. But, at some point she just wanted to take it off. Thanks to Lucy and Emma - Lilly got a pink one with flowers!

Lilly Isn't The Baby Anymore

Lilly has fully entered toddlerhood, and just to prove it, she can show how she takes of her "baby"!

Always Changing

For the last month or two, we have been in awe watching Lilly change and grow. She is like a parrot and will repeat everything you say from orange to some one's name. She is also understanding so much - such how to pick up her toys and put them in the basket, or "Lilly who are your friends at school?" and she will name each one of them "Asha (for sasha), eho (for Teo), Na Na (for Nathan)" and so on. The little chatter box is getting more mobile - she loves dancing "dance, dance" she will say as she moves her bootie! Or giving her baby hugs, gentle pats, and kisses. She now even puts her baby to "night, night". The other fun things she is loving right now is the cell phone - "elllo Nanna" she will say with the phone pressed against her ear. We may be in trouble if she likes talking on the phone like her mama!

We are having a great time watching her learn. . . I think we are a bit sad a the thought that we no longer have a "baby", as Lilly points out all the other babies by saying "baby, baby".

Colby Reunion

We had the most wonderful weekend. . . after visiting Jo and Amelia. We headed for my 10 year Colby reunion. It is absolutely amazing to me the 10 years had passed. After a weekend full of crazy times- dancing in the student center, eating lobsters, playing croquet on the lawn, relaxing with good friends, ordering late night pizza, and sleeping in a dorm, we were exhausted! Lilly is an amazing traveler. Everyone brought kids, and Lilly loved playing with everyone.

Possibly, she too will go to Colby one day! This trip reminded me what amazing friends I have from college. Now only if we could get them to move out west!


We had to get a picture with our doom roomies. .. the husbands were there too (just not in the picture). I cannot believe how uncomfortable the beds were!

We had to take a trip down to the "boat house" to show Lilly where mom used to row.

Lilly loved marching in the parade with her parents! I think she liked the balloons the most!

Baby Amelia

We took the red eye out to Maine to visit baby Amelia Prince (Jo and Steve also) before the Colby reunion. (Lilly did amazing on the red eye! she is our little sleeper!) Lilly is our little traveler! She walked around the airport saying "HIIII!" to everyone. I just love how she has no inhibition! It was so much easier having her walking- rather than crawling on the dirty floors.

While visiting Amelia, Lilly loved walking around saying "baby A" and "jo, jo".

Look at the size difference- they are almost exactly one year apart! Amelia was born on the 17th and Lilly on the 19th of March.

Lilly just loved pushing Amelia in the swing! How much fun!!!

Amelia was a great sport about it! We cannot wait to visit Maine again!
