Library card

Lil wanted her own library card. Almost got a $44 ticket as we were running late to our meter, but all worked out. And we have our books checked out.

Skiing with Lucas

We had a great time learning to ski with Lucas! Wore me out! Lilly was independently doing laps on the magic carpet and the joined uncle "wheel" on the mountain.

Balloon night

We have been making balloon creatures at night. No surprise, Henry loves popping them and Lilly loves making animals. We have been using utube to teach us- very fun family activity.

Explorers club

One of the best peats of the Mount Preschool is Explorers Club. They go on adventures, learn new skills, special field trips, or just explore ring around the Mount. Lilly loves it and most days at dinner when she is asked about her favorite part of the day she talks about an adventure she had at explorers club. She loves taking the bus to the library or to the Elizabeth House to visit the more independent residents. Her teachers sent these photos of her at Fairmont park during Explorers Club.

Henry 2.5

Henry is 2.5. Sometimes we forget that he is "only 2.5". With an older sister- we do set the expectations higher. And then times- we let him get away with more - because he is the "baby" of the family.

Henry's interview: (2/15/13)
- What is your favorite color? ORANGE  (of course)
- What is your favorite thing to eat?  cheese ORANGE (of course!)
- What is your favorite thing to drink? water (he does not like milk much)
- What is your favorite dessert? Birthday Cake
- What is your favorite toy? garbage truck (great future aspiration)
- What is your favorite show? Elmo (who else can talk to two year olds)
- Who do you like to play with? Lilly (they are playing well together- only occasionally fighting)
- What is your favorite park? Whale Tale (usually says the toddler park -Ecolini)
- What is your favorite song? Baby Beluga

He is doing great. Still runs into the walls in our hall when he tries running. While he is not the most active boy- he still is all boy sometimes. He is tearing things up - digging things up- messing things up. But thanks to school - he does know how to clean up and at times sings the "clean up song".

He is singing a ton and does so most by him self (when people are not watching). This is often in his bed or when he is playing by himself (which is he great at!). He does not perform for people. Often in crowds he is the observer.

He loves to assemble things - puzzles are still his favorite. But he does put together block towers and train tracks. Has a very strong memory when playing games. And knows all his numbers and letters.

We love watching Henry grow- and are appreciating the differences from his sister!

Great day skiing

Lilly's first ski lift at Snoqualmie Summit - Central. She did 7 runs and just loved it. It was fun to have her cousins and grandparents with her. The big joke was Grandpa was doing "dollar runs" because he was a "Super Senior" with a $12 ticket.

Here she is on the chair- Holiday. She was not scared a bit. By the end she was doing  top to bottom.
