Rained out camping

We tried to take Henry on his first camping trip. . . as we drove into Deception Pass. It started to rain. The idea of setting up camp in the rain did not appeal to any of us, so we found a motel - after stopping for a few beers at the brew pub. Luckily, the Evansons are as easy going as us- and they have good friends that allowed us to borrow their cabin up near Mount Baker. We had a relaxing weekend in a beautiful cabin. The kids get along great. We cannot wait to watch Henry and Jack grow up together- only one month apart.

Yes Lucus and Lilly had a great time trying to fit together in Jack's bed!

Lilly loves to teach her tricks. This is one that Henry does often- twirling her head back and forth.

Henry's First Word!!

Beyond the mama, dada, nana, bye, hi, He said BALL- yes the guy the other day said Ball for while we were having a Saturday morning snuggle time! He repeated it a few times - possibly a soccer player in our future.

We also love his wave. He waves hello and goodby using his fingers opening and closing them- facing him. It is the cutest!

Lilly isms

Yes there are so many things she is thinking about and doing. Some of my favorites are:

1. "Who's day are we talking about now?" she constantly asks us at the dinner table.
2. She is questioning all of our phrases "what is the last leg" "who broke a leg"
3. Questions - so many "where does this come from" "why are you waving" "where are you going?"
4. "What you say mama"
5. "stay at home day or school day"
6. "dad and pad time?"

Henry 11 months

Big guy turned 11 months! I cannot believe how old he is getting. Definitely talking and babbling a ton. He is saying a few words mama, dada, nana, byebye and hi! He is such a happy baby. Does not like baby food- and wants to feed himself. He clearly lets you know when he is done- swatting his had at the bottle or the food. Big guy- is still not moving but is starting to turn over a ton. He does not want to crawl - he is much happier on his back. Still sleeping like a champ- other than up a bit early!

Rainbow Sherbert!

So there are perks to being the youngest, like having ice cream before your first birthday. Watch Henry enjoy some rainbow sherbert, and then see what happens when big sister wants in on the action!

Sailing with NannaE and Grandpa

Henry's first trip to Canada and a long trip on the boat! and it went great. Grandpa was quite relaxed, Nanna cooked her usual gourmet food, the weather was amazing, and the kids slept great. I think Nanna and Grandpa were quite exhausted once we left.
We loved Otter Bay in Canada- Henry went international. Lilly loved the lobster - of course our gourmet gal!

Lilly got a chance to go fishing with grandpa for the first time. She did great- more exploring than actual fishing. But great adventure for the two of them.

Henry had a good time- at times got a bit frustrated with the life jacket. We kept on saying "Thank goodness he is not moving yet!"

Lilly learned that she had to wear her life jacket when she was up top on the boat and on the dock. She did a great job!
