R&R in Yakima

We headed over to Yakima for Ed’s birthday and for recovery from ChrisO’s surgery. Ed and Margaret are always very helpful- especially with the kids. Mom was even able to escape a bit for a long run.

We were able to go see the Elk Feeding. It was cold, Henry and I spent most of the time in the car nursing. The kids just love hanging out with their NanaO and Papa – all the attention!

Hen-Man KO's Six Months

Henry has reached six months (and a few weeks now) and is rolling right along. He is tipping the scales at 20lbs 11ozs (92%) and stretching the tape at 28.5" (96%)! His smile has been measured at a mile long... Speaking of smiles, Henry is a happy baby and will gladly show it. He is starting to eat solids (kind of) and loves to play in his "office" (saucer) and jumper. The winter has been a little tough on him regarding colds and coughs, so we're looking forward to the spring months. We also can't wait for Dada's thumb to heal from ligament surgery (he'll look forward to lifting him up again at 7 months).

Valentines Day!!!

We love the holidays (ok possibly mom does). And we (possibly mom) loves any excuse to decorate cookies! Uncle Wheels came over with the girls and we had a wonderful night hanging out with the cousins.

Every day when Lilly is getting her hair done she chooses a cousin style. "Emma style" is 1/2 up. "Lucy style" is a broom stick as Uncle Dave would say. "Cece style" is two ponies 1/2 up and "Ellie style" is a pony tail!!

Who is going to be our babysitter- she is already doing everything to help with the kids - Big Cousin Emma.

Lilly loves following what her older cousins are doing- and now she has nick names for them. Luce, Ems, Ceees, Els, Shook, J.

Last day of Beasties- I cannot believe that our little girl is getting so old! By the way, the outfit is a wonderful hand me down from Lucy!

Snow Shoe

Instead of getting letting the rain get us down, we decided to get out and enjoy the winter snow. And look it was SUNNY! ChrisO was a trooper carrying Lilly- and she loved it. We stopped and listened to all the sounds and talked about the difference between a stream and a river. It was a wonderful family day.

Why does Henry have a mouth?

Lilly: "Mama, why does Henry have a mouth if he does not talk?"
Mom: "What else do you do with your mouth?"

Long pause. . .
Lilly: "eat, but Henry does not eat he just drinks"
Mom: "One day Henry will eat and talk".

Lilly: "Oh" Her response to everything!
