Trip to Vancouver- Washington

Lilly and I took the train down to Vancouver, Washington (ChrisO joined the next day). The entire time Lilly tried to control the speed of the train - "faster no now slower". It was quite funny. We had a wonderful time with the cousins! Lilly loves her cousins. We were lucky enough to be given a night away from Aunt Kadie and Uncle Dave for Christmas - so we even had some time off!

Brookie!

We had the most wonderful visit from Brookie and Nick! Lilly just loved Nick's Polaroid camera - instant gratification for - what else does a 2 year old love.

Lilly running along the beach - the sand was a bit bothersome. Of course our little gal had to come home to get towel to clean it out.


We had beautiful weather to do an urban hike! Dada was a bit tired because he had to lug Lilly up the hill after running 20 miles the day before!

Easter Bunny

We figured out the Easter bunny this year. Oh we loved the eggs - and most importantly the candies inside. We had the most wonderful hand me down dress from Emma and Lucy! Also, you can find Lilly enjoying some ice cream with Aunt Molly.

Trying to figure out the baby. . .

On Easter, we really confused Lilly. Aunt Molly and Nanna tried to explain that her new cousin was in Aunt Molly's belly.

Immediately, Lilly said "Jack and Cece are in my belly". We all laughed.

The funniest part was the next morning. Lilly asked "Mama where are my cousins?". I explained where each one of them are - Portland, Vancouver, and Hawaii (vacation).

She said "no no mama they are in my cup, no they are in my bowl".

Realizing, that she was fully confused I asked "Lilly where is your brother?" She quickly replied "in the sink!" I could not stop laughing. I think we need to return to the basics. . .

Dressing up. ..

Lilly is such a "girl" sometimes. Her mom does not know where it comes from. Luckily, her aunts love to buy her girly things. We had the best time dressing up with Owen and Ryley Hill. Lilly is also learning to share - a big skill for our little gal who is expecting a brother!

I think the jewels are her most favorite! We are in for it as she gets older!

Our Little Gal is 2 years old!

We wanted to document some fun fact about our "special little gal"

1. Her full name is "Lilly Pad O'Claire" - sometimes she says Andersen.
2. She loves to sing and regularly makes up her own lyrics to familiar tunes.
3. She is obsessed with cleaning- every night asks for a "wet wipe and dry wipe".
4. Like most 2 years old, she insists on doing everything herself "Lilly do".
5. She understands relationships - if you ask her "Who is Emma's Dad" she will say Uncle Wheel.
6. Her favorite shoes are her frog boots - possibly because they are easy to put on herself.
7. Our cautious gal is getting more adventuresome on the playground climbing ropes and ladders.
8. She is already showing signs of a "stubborn gal" - a trait from her mother.
9. She still loves books and food. (still 98%)
10. Gives good hugs, kisses, and snuggles especially at night time.

Lilly's Birthday

We cannot believe that Lilly is actually 2 years old! She is such a big gal. We wanted to post some pictures - to share with everyone!

Mom of course wanted to make "cute" cupcakes - Luckily the O'Claire's came in town early to help decorate the monkeys.

Lilly was a bu gal at the party - oh how she loves her toddler bikes.
