Oh so cute Peanut and Lucy Lu!

We took off on our first family getaway this past weekend, and had a couple of fantastic days on Whidbey Island. The weather cooperated fully, and we enjoyed hiking at Ebey's Landing (a place some would describe as "magical"), picnicing at Ft. Casey, and even a little wading at Double Bluff Beach- see video. We also got to meet up with Eddie, Lisa, and Logan Herzinger at Langley for the farmers' market and lunch, as well as take Lilly out to dinner not one night, but two nights! (I think Mom & Dad enjoyed that more than Lilly, but she did manage to get some sleep while we enjoyed a glass of wine and good seafood). Lilly can't wait for more adventures!

I'm A Big Girl!

Lilly had her two-month appt today, and, while she is very healthy, she is getting to be quite the chunky monkey. She is nearly twice her birthweight and is tipping the scales at a festively plump 14 lbs 2 ozs. She is in the 98% percentile (yes, 98, that is not a typo) for weight, and is not far behind in height (82%) and head (86%). She is on pace to be taller than Nanna O'Claire by the age of three. She also had her first round of immunizations, (ouuuch!), so Mom tried to cheer her up after she got home- zerbert style! Enjoy the smiles!

The Great Outdoors

The sun finally arrived in Seattle, with record temperatures to boot! Lilly was chomping at the bit to get outside and enjoy the weather, so we started off the weekend with a hike to Tiger Mountain. Lilly was the envy of all the other trekkers, as she got to climb the uphill trail in the style and comfort of the Baby Bjorn. Lilly also got plenty of play time in the backyard, plus she went on her first run with Mom & Dad on Sunday. We all can't wait for more sunny adventures!

Mother's Day

We had a wonderful first Mother's Day! Such a change being the mother! We were able to celebrate dinner with both grandmas- Einstein and O'Claire. We only wish that the sun was out.This is Lilly's First time wearing a dress.

Cousin Cece's Visit on the Train

Cousin Cece came to visit- she took the train up from Vancouver with Nana O and Papa! What an adventure. We did many things, including the aquarium. Little Lilly or Lilly Pad, as we call her, managed to sleep through the entire thing!
